Elara Vane was raised on rainy coastlines and unsupervised library cards. She spent her twenties teaching mediaeval literature, her early thirties writing legal contracts she did not believe in, and the years since teaching herself how to give a monster a heartbeat that readers will defend.
Her debut, The Ashen Vow, was written in the long blue hours after midnight in a flat that did not have proper heating. It found its readers slowly, then all at once.
A Venom So Sweet followed in 2024 and became an international bestseller, translated into nineteen languages and shortlisted for two genre prizes she did not entirely expect to be invited to.
She lives somewhere cold, with too many books and a black cat named Hex. She does not answer her phone. She answers her letters.

A Venom So Sweet
The Hollow Court begins. Becomes an international bestseller; translated into nineteen languages within twelve months.
2026
Crown of Hollow Stars
The second Hollow Court novel arrives in autumn — long, brutal, and devastatingly tender.
