The Quiet Orchard

A NOVEL · SPRING 2024

4.8 · 1,200 READERS

When botanist Iris Thorne returns to her family's pear orchard after twenty years, she finds the trees still keeping their patient counsel — and her sister still tending the kitchen door, as if no time had passed at all.

A tender, slow-burning novel about grafting old wounds onto new seasons, and the language of fruit, weather, and forgiveness.

"A novel that smells of bruised pears and woodsmoke. I closed it slowly, the way you close a kitchen door on a sleeping house."

THE SUNDAY HEARTH

A FEW WORDS

I write the kind of books I want to come home to.

I'm Maren — a former librarian who began writing in the margins of overdue notices. I live in a quiet coastal town with two cats, an unreliable kettle, and more houseplants than is strictly sensible.

My novels are small and slow. They are about gardens that outlast us, letters that arrive late, and the surprising tenderness of ordinary days. I believe in second chances, soft endings, and never spoiling the pie.

"Holloway writes like someone pouring you a cup of tea you didn't know you needed."
